Today we leave to head back home. We get up at 5:30, load up, have breakfast at 6 and are on the road by 7. We travel back over Hwy. 14 again. This time the fall colors are coming to an end as is our trip.
We stop in Cedar City for lunch and pick up gas. On our way out of town we pass Bob and Marilyn headed back to BC with their car loaded on their trailer. We drive to Panaca and get gas-not much else there to be had. Our final stop for the day is Pioche and the Overland Hotel. It is really old and quaint. We are in the “Anasazi Dwelling” room.
We eat in the only place open in town – The Silver Cafe. The food is really good. The town is like a ghost town.
